Both are awesome. This one is the better one. I really like the fence in this one.

That's an awesome picture man. I love the little things you've done to make it more interesting. The fact that it was taken behind barbed wire works perfectly, since it is a mental asylum which is often associated with restraint. The way they criss-cross makes it even better. The sepia-tones work perfectly, too, since everything looks so old fashioned. And the fact that it is in transylvania, a place with a certain mystique to it, makes it even better. Don't really like the powerlines, they kinda take away the abandoned feel...but they might be really hard to edit out. The grungy texture on the ground leading up to the asylum is awesome, really rounding off the feel well. DOF is good too, I'm glad you made both the barbed wire and the building in focus because that seems important. Great shot man, love it alot.

Something for everyone

wow this is so awesome! i love the way u've used the perspective and the barb wire in front of the camera to give that genearlly worn down effect. all enhanced by the sepia toning. whats even better is that its got nothing in front of it so its just the building on its own and the windows all look really dark! fantastic shot!

Thankyou! The wire was such an obvious prop I just had to include it, I think it realy came off well, thanks to good ol' F22! Sepia is also a natural, although it looks pretty great in B&W as well, IMO. In all, this is a shot that was just crying out to be taken and I'm happy I came along to oblige!
